
The sad truth about the 3DS is that it has not sold as well as it was believed to be from the get go. Considering the awful titles available from the get go was so low and less attractive to the general population (if we count out Street Fighter IV amongst others…), this comes as no surprise. But this isn’t just a happening that has occured and still is in Europe or USA, but also in Japan.
Japanese gamers were asked why they still haven’t gotten around to grab a hold of Nintendo’s next upgraded handheld machine, and this is their response:
1. It’s too expensive/You’re waiting for the price to drop – 100%
2. You’re happy with the DS/DSi – 60.6%
3. You’re worried about the burden on your eyes – 41.2%
4. The screen looks as if it may cause sickness – 39.4%
5. There was hardly any launch soft – 24.6%
6. You’ll buy it when the games you want come out – 18.5%
7. You’re happy with your phone or smartphone – 11.1%
8. You’re happy with your PSP – 10.8%
9. The battery looks too weak - 8%
10. It’s heavy and you don’t want the hassle of lugging it around – 7.1%
Two of the highest health concerns regards to what can be experienced if one were to indulge in some 3D play with 3DS 3D slider. Reincarnated issue which doesn’t seem to have left Nintendo since it was also two of the concerns with one of their previously failed “handheld” consoles which promised a 3D gameplay, namely the VirtualBoy.
