A project that began for six years ago, is now finally in it’s true form.
This otaku’s passion (obsession?), for battleships and plastic bricks, gave him super-human “strength”, to endure the hardships, frustrations and quite possibly even, mocking from others, but all that is in the past.
‘Cause today, he is a man, a man who has conquered. Six years of work has finally paid off, and the result being, the WWII super-battleship Yamato, entirely rendered in Lego bits & blocks.
In total, this beauty is 6.6m long and weighs 150kg. About 200,000 Lego parts was involved in this gianormous homemade construction work.
Here is an history lesson for all of you. The Yamato, was in it’s time, one of the largest and most heavily armed ship around. It was sunk down by a aircraft in the year 1945, whilst on the route to Okinawa, to attack invading American’s.
