Roxxxy (yes with three x’s) is possibly the first of a line of what would be by todays standard, an impressive AI (or not?). The first love doll is here, not to say that there hasn’t always been one, but this one in particular has the worlds first of what we presume will be more advanced and impressive lineup in the near future.
It’s nothing like what you would read on a Manga or see in a movie. In fact it’s much more “primitive” (?) than that, with only so far as delivering three inputs (all presumed to be sexually given the fact that it’s a sex robot), and of course some “moaning” functionalities to spice up the love life.
Roxxxy as she is typically named (yes, it’s a porn name), was revealed by the maker TrueCompanion at the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, who had this to say:
“She can’t vacuum, she can’t cook but she can do almost anything else if you know what I mean.
She’s a companion. She has a personality. She hears you. She listens to you. She speaks. She feels your touch. She goes to sleep. We are trying to replicate a personality of a person.”
By replicate they mean that there were multiple personalities in programmed into her AI, all five of them ranging from the girl next door to an real dominatrix.
“The sex doll industry was effective at creating very expensive and somewhat realistic dolls – but many people were telling us it was like their dolls were ‘catatonic’, like they were injured and unable to speak and interact. They wanted to have their dolls become interactive and be their friends.
We solved this problem and now our customers can have sex robots that in one person’s opinion ‘are now brought to life’!”
So how much could all of this cost you? Roughly $7,000, at that price you also get to choose your Sex Robots personal look as well as other modifications such as breast sizes.
It got the right ideas, and given it’s the first of it’s kind (really?) we cannot blame it for being so unlike of what we hoped for, but hey, at least it’s able to get software updates by connecting to the Internet (more personalities?). And it helps that it looks more like what’s aimed for than certain other dutch wife products out there…
