The level of prostitution in school has increased significantly in the last couple of years, with schoolgirls of very young age participating in the exchange business for extra spending money, giving out their services to both adults and same age groups.
In many cases, their meeting place is no hard to find than to connect to Internet through an mobile phone to a so called “deai-kei”, which are often considered to be relationship based BBS (Bulletin Board System, forum if you may), also known as enjo kousai (“compensated dating”), where one proceeds to shower the other person with certain gifts in exchange for favors.
Girls which participate have also been getting younger and younger, all the way down to elementary school, much due to the fact that there are money involved. The following was introduced by a clinic.
“The age at which kids are getting into sex is getting lower. Even girls in middle school are becoming very sexually active. A high school boy came in recently with a second year middle school girl recently, and the pair had been sexually active. The boy asked me to tell his friend about STDs, although at least she was with a good boy.”
One case speaks of a middle schoolboy who by using a similar service, was able to “loan” out a thirteen year old girl for a price tag of ¥60,000, but this is not all, there are many other cases where girls themselves log onto such services and sell their own body as they please. Prices for elementary schoolgirls have dropped significantly to ¥3,000 and below, making it quite clear that there are competition in the business, especially when they offer their services amongst themselves.
With the help of enjo-kousai sites, the “industry” of schoolgirl trading has sprung to a large extend, even giving birth to “JC” sites, where similar activities undergo but for much larger amount of money.
Even though being a subject of many police investigations and continuously being denied of existence, the sites seem not to have it that hard to operate. Not even filtering out these sites which was supposed to be an alternative solution, can stop the growth and longevity.
Much due to this, pregnancies are unavoidable, however, promotion of condoms has helped keep that in as much of an control as possible. Some who have been caught by the pregnancy see it not as a bad thing, and actually feel blessed and happy with the situation. But, all is not always well, there are several downsides too. Once again, delivered by a clinic:
“There was a girl in the fifth year of elementary school who was doing enjo kousai, she was a groupie for talents. Her pantsu were always soiled [with blood], and she kept coming in with Chlamydia.”
Apparently, sexually transmitted deceases has also increased and become more and more mainstream amongst teens, as the increase has gone up by 30%.
The traditional woman seems to be in a shake, as even in college it is said to persist amongst girls to prostitute, and the issue seems to lie not with women who sell out their body. Rather men, and boys are to take the blame to why so many women/girls are boldly releaving themselves of their purity in such an “informal” way.
