The predator nature of an Otaku is unlike the usual one, quite abnormal. Something which stays true to even this case, as the seiyuu Chihara Minori, also known as Minorin to her fans, became the victim of an stalking Otaku who ultimately was after her water bottle.
The entire event took place at the recent Daicon anime convention, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Minorin whom was there for a singing appearance, where completely unaware of the predator around her, whom had seen her drink out of an bottle of Evian mineral water, and when it was left “unattended”, he seized his chance.
In the world of those whom never really had their intimate moments with the opposite sex, a moment like this is highly considered as a chance to have a one on one session of indirect kisses. The proud Otaku was even enjoying himself to such a length where he exposed both his story and posted photographies of himself having the most deepest love relationships with the bottle which have once touched the lips of Minorin, on his blog.
We have a guy, who’s even a blogger of some reputation, sneaking up on stage and swiping the Evian mineral water bottle that CM ingested water from, and running off with it gleefully.
It might have been less creepy if he had just kept it, but he proceeded to drink the water, take photos of himself with the straw in his mouth and post the pictures online showing off his brave deed. Where the fuck is your dignity and pride as a human being?
Might seem like harsh words, considering the image of those kind of both dignity and prideless Otaku’s has been forced upon the later generation, as a “standard” of becoming what they today proudly consider themselves as.
Even though all of this was a bit shocking to most, Minorin seems to be happily unaware of the entire incident, though with todays media it will only be a matter of minutes. True fans can only hope that she be preserved from the knowledge of just where her fluids ended up.
