Although having been claimed to be as powerful as the Playstation 3, that is clearly not the case.
However, as time ventures on, another more plausible claim was uttered from Epic’s very own Mark Rein who stated that the handheld console itself is four times more powerful than what we already have on the market. That is, more powerful than iPad/iPhone (the very same which managed to unofficially beat 3DS).
This Mark Rein stated this after seeing how well their Unreal Engine was implemented and executed on the hardware itself.
