A 22 year old man who proclaimed that he was going to blow up the former home of mangaka Kagami Yoshimizu, got arrested by Saitama police before he could cause any harm.
The former house of the famed mangaka is now a days a tourist trap, with a lot of the room showcasing the characters “rooms”, as a type of fan service, and as a result to the threat, the security was doubled.
The man in question, had sent out a proclaiming letter, “I’m going to go and blow up the building with the recreated Lucky Star heroine’s room in it.”
In hope of what it seems to be able to get on the news, as after he was arrested he admitted to have no real intentions to actually go through with it, and just wanted attention enough to appear on the news.
“I had no intention of actually blowing it up, I just thought if I put out the threats it would cause a stir.”
“If there’s a big fuss about the thing, I’ll be on the news…”
Further more, it didn’t seem that he had ever read an Lucky Star manga, so hatred for the characters themselves seemed unlikely, and that he only heard about the title through the Internet.

Like mentioned before, the former house of Kagami Yoshimizu opened on March 28th as a “museum” one might say, to celebrate the birth place of Lucky Star. With rooms resembling the Izumi household, with one room made to look like Konata Izumi’s and the other one, to look like her cousin’s, Yutaka.
