The world famed iPhone hacker, George Hotz, or as he is better known as Geohot has recently been found having quite the addictive interest for the Playstation 3. Could this be the blessed moments which gamers have been waiting for? Will the Playstation 3 finally be more “exposed” than before?
Well, it seems that even the best of them can have trouble. The Playstation 3 is a fine piece of machinery (no fanboy love here), who doesn’t only utilize next generation graphics, hardware and etc, but also security.
Spending countless of hours developing ideas and methods to crack open it’s security or bypass it, Geohot was somewhat able to hack the system memory and gain write/read access.
Could this be the break the Playstation 3 modding community has been waiting for? Perhaps, either way we encourage Geohot’s efforts and wish him the best of luck!
