Middle school teacher found himself promoted to vice-principle after beating students up and was forced to apologized about it a month earlier.
In early 2007 he was found slapping at least four schoolboys in the face, prompting parent to make a formal complaints. Which he was forced to apologize for in person at the homes of the students he assaulted.
The City board didn’t report his action, deeming that he had secured the understanding of the parents, which made it possible for his promotion to vice-principle of another school shortly after.
“We’re still checking the facts, but it seems likely we would have refrained from promoting him had we known at the time [what he had just done].”
When moving to a new school, the teacher was found causing another incidence. At the end of 2007 he told a third year old school student, “You’re just a nuisance”, the next month the girl dropped out of school for an entire year.
She was also said to have been harming herself during this period.
