The specs for the 3DS have won over a lot of the crowds expectation and this of course does not even count in the 3D “capabilities” of that little lean mean PSP killer machine.
The games used to display it’s full capability were also were well liked by the fans of Nintendo hardware, and who wouldn’t be when you have Metal Gear, Street Fighter 4, Dead or Alive, The Sims, Splinter Cell, Mario Kart, Resident Evil and let us not forget the 3D movies from Warner Brothers, Dream Works and etc…
And here is a list of the upcoming titles which will utilize the features in 3DS:
This would also be the good time to mention where the great myth behind the 3DS began. Apparently, the idea behind the 3D without the 3D glasses were tested and experimented with as a dream which one day could be realized, since the good ol’ early GameCube days according to Nintendo’s president Satoru Iwata.
Ever since the days of Luigi’s Mansion Nintendo has been hard at work keeping their testing secret, maybe in order to implement it into GameCube itself, who knows?
Hideki Konno told:
“The reason we didn’t move forward was at the time the console and the 3D device were separate,” Konno said. “And it’s not playable unless have both. Now it’s all in one (with the 3DS), including the LCD screen.”
Of course, with something that has in work with since the GameCube era, it must have at one point or another been planned for Wii, which obviously it did but no mentioning on why it didn’t go through by Mr. Iwata.
The 3DS is “set for release in all major markets by March 2011,” according to Nintendo themselves.
